The University of Alicante hosts the 3rd Transnational Meeting of the DEVICES Project

From 5 to 7 November 2025, the University of Alicante (UA) hosted the third transnational meeting of the DEVICES project. It marked an important stage in the project’s journey, as partners came together to assess the work completed so far and coordinate the forthcoming actions.

The meeting took place at the Faculty of Education and the University Headquarters in Alicante, and was officially opened by Dr Juan Llopis, Director of Institutional Relations and Projects at the University of Alicante. Following the opening, Professor Lorella Giannandrea from the University of Macerata (Italy), project coordinator, provided an overview of the current situation of the project and outlined the upcoming deliverables and milestones.

During the three days, the partners reviewed the progress of the different Work Packages (WPs) and discussed the activities planned for the coming months. The University of Macerata (UNIMC) presented the main management and financial aspects within WP1, reviewing administrative procedures and confirming reporting deadlines. Hanoi University (HANU) led the sessions related to WP3, dedicated to the development of the cross-curricular digital workspace. Partners explored the current version of the platform and discussed improvements to its structure.

The discussions also covered WP4, coordinated by STEPS, which focuses on the design of e-learning solutions on career management skills. All partners exchanged practices and approaches to support students in developing key employability competencies. In addition, WSG University led the session on dissemination and communication, reviewing progress and working on increasing the visibility of the project. STEPS also presented the evaluation framework, including both quantitative and qualitative indicators to assess the project’s impact.

The meeting concluded with the planning of the next coordination steps and reaffirmed the partners’ commitment to effective collaboration and transparency in project implementation. The next transnational meeting of the project will take place at the National University of Battambang (Cambodia) in May 2026.

About the project

DEVICES (“Developing Education in Vietnam and Cambodia enhancing Employability for Students”) advocates a new way of conceptualising professional development. In today’s dynamic world, DEVICES understands that careers are not chosen but built over time, through a continuous process of learning and professional growth.

The project is based on two key pillars: the creation of a cross-curricular digital workspace and the promotion of career management skills. Through these actions, DEVICES seeks to shift the focus from traditional career development to lifelong learning, while strengthening the organisational and human capacities of higher education institutions in Vietnam and Cambodia.
